THE DAIMLER FOUNDATION
The Scottish Daimler Foundation is a relatively small but ambitious charity that uses horses as a tool for therapy, education, employability training, and social inclusion. It is based at the Morris Equestrian Centre in Ayrshire and became a registered charity in 2019.
Many of the people we work with struggle in conventional educational, workplace, or social settings. The horse-based environment provides a different way to learn and engage.
Why horses?
The foundation's philosophy is that horses can help people develop: Confidence, Emotional regulation, Resilience, Communication skills, Responsibility, Trust and relationship-building

Programmes are aimed at a wide range of groups, including: Young people facing disadvantage, Children in care, People with disabilities, Individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, People recovering from drug or alcohol dependency, Individuals involved in the criminal justice system, People seeking employment skills and training opportunities, Employability and training

We also run employability and vocational programmes, including partnerships with educational and racing-industry organisations.
